Williamson Herald : The Voice of America's Greatest County

The Williamson Herald, in conjunction with John Maher Builders,
is beginning the John Maher/Williamson Herald Scholar Athlete Program,
which will recognize one male and one female scholar-athlete
from a Williamson County high school every month.

A four-person selection committee made up of representatives from
John Maher Builders and the Herald will consider nominations submitted
from the schools, coaches or students families.
The committee will weigh each nominee on the basis of grade point average,
leadership qualities, community service, athletic competition and a
submitted essay (written by the nominator) about the student.

Awards

• Each winner of the monthly award will receive a certificate declaring them as Athlete of the Month

• A picture and bio of the male and female winners will be published each month in the Williamson Herald
