CompuPay celebrates move, 30-year anniversary

CompuPay, Inc. (www.compupay.com) held an open house and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Jan. 27, to celebrate the opening of its new 34,000-square-foot Franklin facility.
CompuPay, one of the largest outsourced payroll providers in the U.S., is headquartered in Miramar, Fla., but operates several corporate functions within the Franklin office, the company’s second largest office.
CompuPay executives from the Miramar office, including CEO and President Charlie Lathrop and CIO Bob Rague, flew in to attend the event. Company executives from Maine, Illinois and California also attended the event.
A private employee celebration took place at 1 p.m. with cake served to all employees to celebrate not only the new facility, but also the company’s 30-year anniversary.
A Williamson County-Franklin Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting followed at 2:30 p.m. Lathrop thanked the Chamber and commented, “Five years ago we were a small, regional payroll provider in South Florida and today we are the fourth largest in the U.S. We are proud to be a part of this community and look forward to continued growth.”
A number of local clients and vendors attended the open house following the ribbon cutting including representatives from Duke Realty Corp., property managers for the new CompuPay facility located at 415 Duke Drive in Franklin.
Guests and employees enjoyed punch from local Stoveworks restaurant, a CompuPay client, and a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres from Publix and Sam’s Club, supporters of the Williamson County-Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
