Allenbrooke Farms to provide organically-grown produce through the holiday season at the Franklin Farmers Market
After completing their first 24-week season of offering fresh produce to their CSA “Farmily”, Allenbrooke Farms, a 120-acre family farm in Spring Hill is expanding their time at the Franklin Farmers Market into the Fall and Winter months.
Locals can expect to find arugula, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, loose leaf and head lettuces, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, bok choy, collard greens, mustard greens and carrots as well as other holiday offerings.
Farmed by husband and wife team Daniel and Stephanie Allen, the produce they grow is cultivated using natural, organic farming methods.
“It was a leap of faith and risk and courage for us to step out and begin farming full-time”, said Stephanie Allen. “There's no way we could have known what an adventure this would be! We believe in what we do – providing families with great tasting, naturally and locally grown, farm-fresh food. We are so thankful that so many people chose us to be your farmers this year, and look forward to seeing everyone at the Franklin Farmer’s Market through Christmas, and next spring as well.”
Allenbrooke Farms is also making their 2013 CSA shares available to the public. Half and full shares will begin mid-May and end in late October.
