CapWealth Advisors Investment firm names Phoebe Venable to president, COO

Independent investment advisory firm CapWealth Advisors LLC recently announced that Phoebe J. Venable will become president and chief operating officer of the company, effective Jan. 1, 2013. The announcement was made by Tim Pagliara, who will continue to serve as chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the firm he founded in 2000.

“I'm excited to name Phoebe to this leadership position of our company," Pagliara said in making the announcement. "She has quickly proven her managerial and investment skills and has worked tirelessly and effectively to help our clients succeed. I believe our firm and clients will greatly benefit from her continued visionary leadership."

Venable joined the organization in March of 2011 as managing principal, working alongside Tim Pagliara and a staff of 12 professionals that has been steadily building a growing number of wealth management clients throughout the region. Earlier this year, Barron's magazine named the firm the number one investment advisory firm in the state of Tennessee.

Venable holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and came to CapWealth from the Nashville office of GenSpring Family Offices, an independent wealth management firm for ultra-high net worth families. Prior to that she was the Managing Director of Private Wealth Management for SunTrust Banks, after having served a number of years as an investment portfolio manager and private client advisor.

She has both a Bachelors degree (mathematics) and a Masters of Business Administration (finance and economics) from Murray State University and holds certifications from both the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and the Regional Trust School at Samford University. Venable is a member of the Nashville Society of Financial Analysts.
