Herrington announces recent additions, promotions at Franklin Synergy Bank

Franklin Synergy Bank (FSB) has promoted Chief Financial Officer Sally Kimble to Executive Vice President, FSB President Richard Herrington announced this week.

“Sally leads our team of financial professionals at Franklin Synergy Bank. She has played a critical role during a period of significant growth for our bank,” Herrington commented.

Kimble joined the bank in April 2012. Her banking experience includes service at American Bank & Trust of the Cumberlands in Cookeville, where she served as executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

Her banking career began at First Bank & Trust (First Financial Corporation) in Mt. Juliet, where she served as treasurer, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Her previous experience also includes Capital Bank & Trust Company (Capital Bancorp, Inc.), where Kimble served as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Kimble holds a B.A. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and certificates from the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management at the University of South Carolina and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. In addition, she holds a certificate from the College of Financial Planning in Denver.

McDaniel named chief retail officer

FSB Chief Retail Officer David McDaniel was named to executive vice president.
Mc Daniel joined FSB in April 2011 as Senior Vice President of Franklin Synergy Investment Management. Promoted to chief retail officer in July of 2012, McDaniel currently oversees the bank’s retail lenders as well as investment management.

“We are delighted to recognize David’s leadership in our bank through this promotion,” explained Herrington. “He has been instrumental in penetrating our existing market to grow our bank as we increase our geographic footprint.”

Dorris, Besch join mortgage team

Michael S. Dorris, Jr. has joined the bank’s mortgage origination team as Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Originator.

Dorris will be based in the bank’s Synergy Park Mortgage Office in Brentwood.

“We are pleased to have a professional of Michael’s level join our bank and look forward to bringing the Franklin Synergy Bank mortgage experience to our customers,” Herrington said.

Dorris joins the bank from Metropolitan Bank in Brentwood, where he served as Nashville Director/Mortgage Specialist. In a mortgage origination career spanning fourteen years, Dorris also served at Synovus Mortgage/The Bank of Nashville in Nashville and National Bank of Commerce in Brentwood.

Dorris is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lipscomb University. A six-time recipient of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association (NMBA) Platinum Award for mortgage production in excess of $20 million annual volume, Dorris serves on the NMBA’s Planning Committee.

He is a member of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors as well as the Williamson County Association of Realtors.

Beth Besch joins Franklin Synergy Bank as a Mortgage Originator from Metropolitan Bank in Brentwood, where she served as Mortgage Loan Processor.

“Beth is a great addition to our mortgage team,” said Herrington. “Her knowledge of mortgage origination in this market will be a tremendous asset to our bank.”

She has more than 25 years of mortgage origination experience as well as underwriting and appraisal management. Her service includes stints at Reliant Bank in Brentwood and Franklin American Mortgage Company in Cool Springs.

Besch is a graduate of David Lipscomb University. She holds a Tennessee affiliate Real Estate Broker license, a Property/Casualty Insurance license and a Life/Health Insurance license. Besch has received numerous awards for mortgage production as well as real estate sales.

Besch is a member of the Williamson County Association of Realtors (WCAR), the Tennessee Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She is a former member of the WCAR Ambassador Committee.
