Family Group is for children ages 5-17 and their adult caregiver(s) who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or extended family member. Group begins with a shared meal and large-group activity or game that fosters a fun, supportive environment. Participants are then divided into smaller groups for discussion. Children are paired with other children by age, and adults meet separately providing an opportunity for all to explore their loss experience in an age-appropriate setting. The evening ends with a large group closing activity designed to increase family cohesion and communication.

Family Group meets once per month, and a family may attend for up to 12 months. Each month focuses on a theme related to a specific aspect of the loss experience.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, group is provided free of charge. Donations appreciated, pre-registration required.
