Friday, Oct. 2

•    The third annual Healthy Living and Lifestyles Expo will be held Friday, Oct. 2 at the Brentwood Place Shopping Center. Working in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen Greater Nashville Race for the Cure, the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce offers race participants an opportunity to pick up their race packets at the expo. Saturday, Oct. 3

•    The John Maher Builders Spring Hill Country Ham Festival will be held, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Tennessee Children's Home, 804 Branham Hughes Boulevard, Spring Hill. Event is free; parking is $10. The event features a Kid's Zone, arts and crafts booths, a hog calling competition, live music and more. •    Storytellers, Civil War re-enactors, cowboys and Indians and local artisans will be featured at Leiper’s Fork Heritage Day, sharing the crafts from the Revolutionary War, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3. Call 715-1995.

Thursday, Oct. 8

•    Little goblins are sure to have a howling good time at the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s second annual Halloween Spookfest, Saturday, Oct. 24, 6:30-8 p.m. Bring the whole family for a night of ghoulish fun at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill to enjoy trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, a cupcake walk, face painting and a fortune teller. Cost is $4. Parents get in free and must accompany children. Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis until full. •    The annual Pumpkinfest, Saturday, Oct. 31, is a free street festival featuring trick-or-treating, arts/crafts vendors, Franklin Tomorrow Annual Chili Cook-off, Sister Cities, All Things Pumpkin, People's Church Kids Zone, costume contest and live music.

Thursday, Nov. 5 to 7

•    The Martin Masters presents Zoë’s Gallery of Friends, a signature fundraiser for the FiftyForward Martin Center, will be held Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 5-7 at the center, 960 Heritage Way, Brentwood. The show and sale will be held at The Martin Center in Brentwood. The featured guest artist will be Gail McDaniel, of Franklin. This year, the event will open with a Sneak Preview and special reception, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, with wine and hors d’oeuvres. The sneak preview will be a ticketed event and those attending will have the first opportunity to purchase art before the show opens to the public Friday and Saturday.
