Paint and Pour Classes: Thursday, Feb. 4, 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Class fee is $30, which includes all supplies. Create an original work of art in one painting session. No experience necessary. Register by calling 371-0090 ext. 851.
Medical Seminar: Prescription Medications: Monday, Feb. 8, 6:30-7:30 p.m. This free seminar will teach you everything you need to know about your prescription medications. Register by calling 371-0090 ext. 851.
AARP Drivers Safety Class: Two-day class meets Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 9 and 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants learn about good driving habits and get a special discount on their insurance. You must attend both sessions to get credit for this class. AARP Members $12.00 Non-members $14.00. Register by calling 371-0090 ext. 851.
Free Walk-in Blood Pressure Screenings: Tuesday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. One in three adults in the United States has high blood pressure. Diagnosis of high blood pressure, or hypertension, will allow your doctor to provide you with a number of ways to combat the disease before it becomes a serious problem. As a service to the community, Dr. Shannon C. McDonald with Southern Hills Family Medicine of Brentwood offers free monthly health screenings at the Brentwood Library.
