Annual Thanksgiving Night in the Hunger Fight at St. Andrew Lutheran Church

The community is invited to the eighth annual Thanksgiving Night in the Hunger Fight on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 908 Murfreesboro Road in Franklin. A silent auction runs 4-6:30 p.m. A traditional Thanksgiving meal is served 5-6:30 p.m. Entertainment with Travis Birch begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by a live auction at 7 p.m. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised go to Help Fight Hunger for school children in Haiti through the ministry of Trinity/HOPE. This event is hosted by St. Andrew Lutheran Church and Peace Lutheran Church.
A raffle for two Southwest airline tickets, round trip, plus a one-week stay in Park City, Utah in a 3BR/BA condo will be held to help raise funds for the Trinity/HOPE Feeding program.
Major donations for the auctions have been secured from businesses locally and across the state. A week’s stay in Gatlinburg at a cabin at Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort, one-night stays at Lowe’s Vanderbilt Plaza, Drury Plaza Hotel, & Embassy Suites Cool Springs, Williamson County Recreation & YMCA certificates, Titans tickets, Arrington Vineyards, the Nashville Symphony, Dollywood, Holiday World, N-Tune Karaoke Party, signed items from numerous County Music celebrities including Dolly Parton. Kix Brooks, and Steve Wariner, numerous restaurant, spa, certificates, local art works by Pam Francis and Kris Nethercutt, beautiful handmade quilts, crafts, and more are some of the many donations received to help in raising funds to feed these children.
Thrivent Financial and Kohl’s Department Store are major grant sponsors. Publix, Kroger, Culvers, and Jason’s Deli are participating meal sponsors.
