The Refuge Center for Counseling holds inaugural fundraising dinner

The Refuge Center for Counseling, a local nonprofit organization that offers affordable counseling services to those in need, will hold its inaugural fundraising dinner—Hope Grows 2013—this Thursday, Oct. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event will take place in Building 8 at The Factory at Franklin and will feature the presentation of the first-ever Hope Award to Ann Buchanan, retired president and CEO of United Way of Williamson County, for embodying the mission of The Refuge Center—to empower, educate and support those in need.

The event will also include a silent auction and entertainment by nationally known comedian Patsy Clairmont as well as music by Magnolia Sons and Galen Crew.

“With a silent auction, special entertainment and an award presentation, our inaugural Hope Grows dinner is sure to be a great time,” said Amy Alexander, executive director and co-founder of The Refuge Center. “We hope members of the community will come out and join us in support of The Refuge Center and the clients we serve.”

The dinner is presented by SnapShot Interactive, and all proceeds from Hope Grows will directly benefit the clients and programs of The Refuge Center. For more information about The Refuge Center, visit refugecenter.org.
