Public Notice 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY HAS BEEN AWARDED FEDERAL FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS)/FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY UNDER THE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER PROGRAM (EFSP).

Williamson County has been chosen to receive $32,280 through Phase 37 to supplement emergency food, shelter, and financial assistance programs in the county. An additional $117,993 is available through the CARES Act to support individuals and families impacted by COVID-19. This funding was available for counties that are not directly funded through the State Set-Aside process.

A Local Board comprised of representatives from health and human service organizations and local government will allocate and distribute funds to eligible agencies.

Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local agencies chosen to receive funds must:

1) be private voluntary non-profits or units of government,

2) be eligible to receive Federal funds,

3) have an accounting system,

4) practice non-discrimination,

5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver programs,

6) have a DUNS Number (see attached PDF for instructions on securing a DUNS Number), and

7) if they are a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board.

Qualifying agencies are urged to apply. Tracking of assistance and reporting is required. 

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM May 19, 2020 for review in the Local Board meeting at 9:00 AM on May 20th. Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying for EFSP funds must contact the local administrator BY EMAIL for assistance accessing the application:
