City of Brentwood to host online surplus sale of electronics, other items

For those looking for a good deal on a used laptop or a desktop computer, the city of Brentwood is hosting an online surplus sale of some used city government items.

Once a year, the city identifies items that have been determined to exceed their useful purpose and cannot be cost-effectively maintained or refurbished. Per state law, this property and equipment must be disposed of by sealed bid or at an advertised public auction.

The online auction will start Sept. 21 and end Oct. 5. It will also include surplus items from other Williamson County agencies.

Brentwood items can be found at https://www.estatesale.com/companies/view/9305/Gary-Realty-and-Auction.html by clicking the link to Williamson County Surplus Furniture and Equipment.

Items of significance on this year’s list include an aluminum dog crate and locker, Dell Latitude laptop computers, Dell desktop computers and computer servers.

The proceeds from the sale of the computer equipment will go into the city’s equipment replacement fund to purchase other items.
