It’s back to the books for students and adults with the Friends of the Fairview Public Library Book Sale beginning Aug. 22.
The twice annual sale is a tradition for many in the Fairview area and beyond.
“We continue to get donations through the year and we sort through the books after each sale, so the inventory is always fresh for repeat customers,” said Cheryl Hamilton, president of the Friends of the Fairview Public Library. “We have contemporary fiction, biographies, historical novels, cookbooks, children’s books and so much more, both hardback and paperback.”
The book sales generate funds that are used to help meet the needs and support programs at the Fairview Public Library.
“We work closely with library staff. It’s a true partnership,” Hamilton said.
The Friends group first organized in Fairview in the 1980s.
