Franklin Police Department continues search for school crossing guards

Hermina, “Miny,” Weaver serves as a beloved crossing guard at Kenrose Elementary.

With school back in session, the Franklin Police Department is still seeking qualified applicants for the position of school crossing guard.

Under general supervision, school patrol team members work part-time hours and are responsible for pedestrian safety and efficient vehicular traffic flow in assigned school zones.

The ideal applicant is assertive, tactful and able to work in varying weather conditions. Starting pay for school crossing guards is $18.48 per hour.
