The Franklin Police Department Law Enforcement Assistance Partnership, a volunteer-run nonprofit officer support organization, awarded three scholarships to local students Tuesday at Franklin Police Headquarters.

Faith Anderson and Hope Anderson, daughters of Lt. Eric (Carla) Anderson, each received a $1,000 college scholarship. Faith is headed to Birmingham-Southern, and Hope to the University of Memphis this fall.

Another $1,000 scholarship will be presented to Macy Savage, daughter of Officer Scott (Kim) Savage, in the coming days.

This benefit is made possible because of LEAP and the generosity of the Franklin community, all in appreciation of Franklin’s police officers.
