Early voting drawing to a close for Franklin municipal elections

Early voting for the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen elections runs from Oct. 2-17. 

The Williamson County Election Commission is reminding voters that one week remains to vote early for the upcoming Oct. 22 Franklin municipal election.

Early voting continues through Oct. 17 at the Election Commission Office, located at 1320 West Main Street in Franklin. Weekday hours are 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m.–noon.

"There have been 695 early ballots cast, or 1.3% of the 52,812 registered voters in the city of Franklin who have cast a ballot at the close of business (Oct. 9)," said Chad Gray, administrator of elections. "Please remember to bring your Tennessee state-issued or your federal-issued photo ID even if it is expired (unless exempt under the law) to vote. Voters will cast ballots for mayor and four alderman at-large (Positions A, B, C and D)."

The deadline to register to vote for this election was Monday, Sept. 23.

Polls are open on Election Day, Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. at 13 Election Day polling places.
