Morning Pointe Senior Living has announced a virtual grand opening event for The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Spring Hill.

The event will be held Tuesday, June 30 at 4:30 p.m. The virtual ceremony will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce, and local dignitaries and special guests from the local area will speak.

The Lantern Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, located at 1003 McCutcheon Creek Lane, is the second phase of the state-of-the-art Morning Pointe of Spring Hill Senior Living campus, which, in total, provides specialized care for over 120 seniors.

The 33,000-square-foot memory care community consists of 44 apartments created specifically to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders. The Lantern maintains a strong focus on clinical care with innovative therapies such as Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach® to Care and Meaningful Day™ purposeful programming to ensure the highest quality of care for residents.

Physical and occupational therapies, life enrichment and wellness programming, and intergenerational activities round out the wide array of healthcare services offered, and all residents enjoy premier amenities and fine dining with local, farm-fresh ingredients.

“For the past two decades, Morning Pointe has significantly broadened the options for quality senior living available to Middle Tennessee seniors and their families,” said Greg A. Vital, president and co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “The addition of The Lantern Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Spring Hill will allow us to further connect Middle Tennessee’s rapidly growing senior population with the specialized care they need while contributing to the growth of the local healthcare workforce.”

Morning Pointe Senior Living is Middle Tennessee’s choice for assisted living and memory care, serving seniors for more than 20 years. In addition to Spring Hill, Morning Pointe operates assisted living and memory care communities in the Middle Tennessee communities of Brentwood, Franklin, Tullahoma and Columbia.

Independent Healthcare Properties, LLC, a Chattanooga-based senior healthcare services company, is the developer, owner and manager of 35 Morning Pointe assisted living and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence communities in five southeastern states. IHP was founded in 1996 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow.
