DJ Duporte greets guests to North Italia.

North Italia held a soft opening over the weekend to prepare for its grand opening on Wednesday at its new McEwen Northside location in Franklin.

The Cool Springs spot is the California-based Italian restaurant’s second Tennessee location, adding to the other in Nashville. The chain is owned by The Cheesecake Factory.

The restaurant serves up house-made pasta, crispy pizzas, hearty sandwiches and salads and has gluten-free and vegan options. During the soft opening, guests enjoyed an appetizer to share, an entree and dessert to share.

North Italia’s newest location is an open concept with outdoor eating and drinking options. An extensive bar along with a wine list is available.

From healthy options like the farmers market board to the white truffle garlic bread, guests tasted the fresh and delicious appetizers from the menu. For the entre, scallops, chicken pesto and pizza were enjoyed, plus many others.

Colin Corbello is the assistant general manager and has been with North Italia for five years with this being his fifth store and third grand opening.

“I love the culture. It is how we train our employees and what was attractive to Cheesecake Factory,” he said. “They say what a great culture we create here. We have done extensive training with our employees so that our guests have a great experience.”

North Italia is located at 4041 Aspen Grove, Suite 100, in Franklin. Visit www.northitalia.com/locations/franklin-tn/ to learn more.
