The Spring Hill Hawks recently announced the creation of the new Spring Hill soccer program, launching this spring at Port Royal Park.
The Spring Hill community has been asking for a local soccer program with adequate facilities for the players to really enjoy the game, and the Hawks answered.
They are offering both soccer and flag football during the spring of 2020. Both leagues are co-ed and will host practices and games at Port Royal Park. Soccer games will be held on Saturdays, and flag games will be held on Sunday afternoons.
The Hawks have been serving the youth sports community of Spring Hill for 10 years. They are community-built, locally led sports organization that continues to foster a love of youth sports in Spring Hill.
Many already benefit from the Hawks’ use of the local park through flag and tackle football as well as cheerleading. After fielding numerous phone calls and emails from the local community about the possibility of adding something else, the addition of the soccer program was the next logical step.
Derek Coats, soccer director, wrote on Facebook, “YOU asked, WE answered. This is a community-built and community-run soccer program for the people of Spring Hill.”
One parent commented on the site, expressing excitement for a program the community has wanted for a while. “Tired of driving to Franklin,” the comment continued.
Registration is now open at www.springhillhawks.com and can be found on the 2020 Soccer tab. This is a co-ed program for ages 3–14 and is open to all skill levels. The local soccer program kicks off this spring and is expecting a large turnout.
