Williamson County Schools weekly notes Hillsboro School

Lizzy Russell writes:

Elementary:

Elementary students have been working hard on dictionary skills in the library. Several of our students have been enjoying “Extra Magic Hours” before and after school in the library. During this time they are able to take their AR tests as well as check books out. Book fair is quickly approaching (Nov. 1-9). Barnaroo will be held on Nov. 3 and is put on by the Hillsboro PTO. Hillsboro’s fourth grade has been busy studying living things in Science, setting up and maintaining habitats for frogs, crabs, and millipedes.

Middle:

Hillsboro’s JV football team beat Heritage on Oct. 2, 12 to 0. In Mrs. Sarah Dixon’s Pre-Algebra class, students have been working on solving multi-step equations and applying them to everyday life situations. Her students are also able to use ʺanimated mathʺ (through our online textbook) to get a good visual of what some of these problems look like!
