Buy tickets now for October's Celebration of Nations

Tickets to the sixth annual Celebration of Nations are now available for one of downtown Franklin’s most unique events to be held Oct. 12.

Sponsored by Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County, the event is part of a weeklong series of events beginning Oct. 4
International entertainer Maura O’Connel, known for her contemporary interpretations of Irish folk songs will be on stage at the Franklin Theatre. Tickets for O’Connel’s performance can be purchased at
The Theatre will also show a line-up of international films on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
During the week of Oct. 4, downtown Franklin restaurants, including Zolos, Cork and Cow, Red Pony, Grays, Puckett’s and Puckett’s Boathouse will feature international dishes on their menus.
Activities on Oct. 12 kick off beginning at 3 p.m. on Fourth Avenue and in the alley behind Main Street near the 4th Avenue Parking Garage. 
The event will include music, singing, dancing and food and vendor booths.
The popular international beer tasting will take place from 5-8 p.m.
Twenty beers from ten countries, including Canada, Japan, Mexico, Belgium, Italy, Jamaica, Ireland, England, Germany and the Netherlands will be available to ticket holders.
To purchase $25 advance tickets visit  Tickets will be $30 at the door the day of the event.
The city of Franklin, Williamson County, The Factory at Franklin, Williamson Medical Center, Southern Events, Zia Productions, The Franklin Theatre, Frannklin Synergy Bank, and the Williamson Herald/Southern Exposure Magazine are event sponsors.

The fundraiser benefits the student exchange program, the Passport Series and the annual Celebration of Nations.
