BA Middle School Students Honor Special Mentors at Inspire

New Brentwood Academy middle school sixth grade students Jordan Harvey and Luke Leimbach chose their fifth grade teacher, Miss Rachel Smith, as their special mentor and invited her to the “Inspire” reception to show their appreciation for what she has meant in their lives.

New Brentwood Academy middle school students hosted an “Inspire” reception to honor the special people in their lives who have influenced or mentored them in a positive way.  Over 95 former teachers, coaches, youth pastors, friends, and neighbors attended the Tuesday, Oct. 1, event on the BA campus.  Each person was invited by a student.

Each student had a photo taken with his/her special person and the photos were framed and handed out during the event.  A short program, which included student music, was presented along with remarks from event organizer faculty member Mrs. Lisa Springman and BA headmaster Curt Masters.  The “Inspire” event is held each fall by Brentwood Academy as a way of teaching students to be thankful for special people in their lives.
