Canadian-based franchise Blo Blow Dry Bar celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on Friday in partnership with Williamson, Inc.

Located near Whole Foods in Cool Springs, owner Katelyn Eulau has brought the first Tennessee Blo Blow Dry Bar location to Cool Springs. The business has 15 stylists and staff.

Eulau is a former certified public accountant from San Jose, California who wanted to apply her business and finance knowledge to a business she personally was passionate about.

“I first visited a Blo Blow Dry Bar when I was traveling for work,” she said. “In 45 minutes, my hair was shampooed, beautifully styled and left me feeling gorgeous and confident. After several visits, I fell in love with the model and knew I wanted to open the area’s first Blo location.”

Nancy Conway, senior vice president of community relations with Williamson, Inc., congratulated Eulau on making the step into being a business owner.

“This is her first venture into the business world,” Conway said. “I have all the confidence in the world in her.”

Becoming a business owner was something Eulau had dreamed of throughout her professional career in the finance world.

“I really like finance and numbers, but it’s cool to see that in an actual business application side,” she said. “It’s an idea that I could get excited about.”

Blo Blow Dry Bar also caters to those who may need a styling for a special event, homecoming or prom.

“We want to be a neighborhood bar,” Eulau said. “Some people make us a part of their weekly routine.

“We cater to everyone, basically. At the end of the day, it’s whatever you need.”

Blo Cool Springs is located at 1556 W. McEwen Drive.

Appointments are available at Blo’s website, and walk-ins are welcome during regular hours depending upon availability. Appointments can also be made by calling (615) 905-9957.
