Goin’ Postal Westhaven, locally owned, offering USPS mailing and FedEx shipping services, is an essential business and will therefore remain open and fully operational during normal business hours, it announced Tuesday.
The store has implemented a number of procedures in an attempt to safeguard against COVID-19. To help facilitate social distancing, an outdoor area has been set up to serve customers since mid-March, before it was recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Communal surfaces are frequently and diligently sanitized, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available to all customers, and staff members wear masks and gloves and provide contact-free engagements such as porch pickups and curbside services.
Porch pickup is a service offered for those that have a package requiring a shipping label. Packages with prepaid labels for USPS, FedEx and UPS are still accepted and can be dropped off at the store.
Porch pickups are offered to customers in the area surrounding the Westhaven community, approximately a 5-mile radius, including Legends Ridge/Hillsboro Road, Montpier Farms/Old Hillsboro Road, Leipers Fork, Highway 96 to downtown Franklin/Founders Pointe and Downs Boulevard. They have offered this service since early March and will continue to do so as needed in the coming weeks.
Goin’ Postal Westhaven services include USPS mailing, FedEx shipping, office supplies, notary public, fax, scan to email, print from email, decorative boxes and mailers, and greeting cards. Free packing is also offered with the purchase of boxes and shipping supplies.
Goin’ Postal Westhaven is located at 188 Front St. Suite 116. All business is being conducted outside the backdoor near the parking lot shared with Kroger. Look for the tents.
Information on how to request a porch pickup can be found on their Facebook page, @goinpostalwesthaventn. The store’s hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Call the store at 615-599-8997 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
