Hampton Inn and Suites showcased its new lobby and room renovations on Thursday in Cool Springs with a celebratory ribbon cutting in partnership with Williamson, Inc.

Located within walking distance of CoolSprings Galleria, the newly renovated hotel with 127 rooms came to Franklin in 1996.

Nancy Conway, Williamson, Inc.’s senior vice president of community relations, congratulated the 35-member hotel staff for being dedicated to the business.

“Whether it’s the leisure traveler, the business traveler or whatever, they’re here to serve, and that’s what is important,” she said.

Hotel General Manager David Brawner has spent 15 years in the hospitality industry, with five of those spent locally. The Memphis native graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in hospitality.

“I love the industry,” he said. “It’s changing all the time, and it’s really exciting.”

The hotel renovations were a first for Brawner to manage, but explained all the rooms and suites were renovated with updated beds, carpet and furnishings, among other upgrades.

Brawner also mentioned a handful of staff members have gone through the Visit Franklin Ambassador Program, which educates them on the local area to help hotel guests navigate locally.

“They have gotten a good taste of what this area has to offer to the guests and travelers that come through this area,” Brawner said.

The half-day training program educates people about the various tourism offerings available to visitors to Williamson County. It is provided as a service to all hospitality partners who interact with visitors, as well as to the general public.
