Chicken salad lovers in Franklin now have even less of a commute to suit their southern cravings.
Chicken Salad Chick opened its doors in Cool Springs Wednesday, located off Carothers Parkway.
The chain restaurant offers 12 different varieties of chicken salad, which are made from scratch every day.
The Auburn, Alabama-based chain began when co-founder Stacy Brown started making chicken salad for friends, teachers and neighbors out of her home. Within three weeks, Brown and her future husband, Kevin, had more business than they could handle.
A call from the local health department stating “you cannot cook anything in your home and sell it” was the motivation the two founders needed to open their own restaurant.
The Cool Springs location is Chicken Salad Chick’s 21st corporate-owned location, and in celebration a ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday in partnership with Williamson Inc.
“We just love this community and our guests love us here as well,” said Chicken Salad Chick’s Director of Operations Paul Grilli.
This is the fifth location in the Nashville market with two other Williamson County locations.
“Nashville has been a great support of Chicken Salad Chick from the communities that we’re in, and specifically in Williamson County we have gotten a great reception,” Grilli said.
“We love being able to live our mission, vision and values, and that is being able to serve others, spread joy and enrich lives.”
