After flood damage caused Embassy Dental to close its Brentwood location earlier this year, the dental group hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday in partnership with Williamson Inc.

Embassy Dental has seven locations in the Nashville area, providing services such as teeth cleanings, cosmetic dentistry, restorations and orthodontics.

“They take care of all types of dental needs, whatever your needs might be,” said Nancy Conway, Williamson Inc.’s senior vice president of community relations.

“Taking care of your oral health is the greatest investment you can make regarding your physical health.”

Dr. Van Benthuysen, who works at the Brentwood office echoed Conway’s message.

“There is a link between oral health and systemic health,” Benthuysen said. One example he mentioned is that “men in particular with untreated periodontal disease have a 65 percent greater risk of pancreatic cancer."

"So make you have your teeth and gums checked.”

Dr. Van Benthuysen and Dr. Avinav Batra both work at the company’s Brentwood office.

Embassy Dental is located at 330 Franklin Road, suite 230 B, in Brentwood.
