Art Scene marks 8-year milestone with plenty of buzz in downtown Franklin

The Franklin Art Scene celebrated its eighth anniversary on Friday with unique artists and musicians scattered all throughout downtown Franklin.

More art crawlers bustled around than normal — partially due to the nice weather — in celebration of the special milestone.

Gallery 202 owner Kelly Harwood started the Franklin Art Scene in 2011 with Mike Damico, Autumn Bethea and Nancy Williams, utilizing Harwood’s and Damico’s galleries in partnership with local businesses to feature artists in the Franklin area.

The Franklin Art Scene is held on the first Friday of every month to highlight the local arts scene in Franklin.
