Hard Bargain fall festival

The Hard Bargain Association's fall festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 23, from noon to 7 p.m.

The Hard Bargain Association is holding a free fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 23, for the whole family.

The event will take place at Johnson Elementary School starting at noon, following the U.S. Colored Troop statue unveiling in downtown Franklin.

The festival will include music, food, games, face painting, inflatables from Off The Wall and more. Food and beverages will be available from Freda’s Catering & Creation, M Catering, Fabulous Food Truck, and Southerner’s Coffee.

Families will have plenty of time to complete a virtual scavenger hunt leading from downtown to the Hard Bargain neighborhood before a family-friendly Halloween movie begins at 6 p.m. on the school lawn. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs to enjoy the movie with popcorn and cotton candy.

The event will also serve as a mobile COVID-19 vaccine drive, and masks are strongly recommended at the event.

Johnson Elementary is located at 815 Glass Street in Franklin, and the event will run until about 7 p.m.
