Rendezvous at Ravenswood, the final event of a series of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Brentwood becoming a city, is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at the historic Ravenswood Mansion in Marcella Vivrette Smith Park.

Tickets to the event, which will include live music, dinner and dancing, are $125 and on sale now.

“The lush surroundings of the historic Ravenswood Mansion, great food and drink, a fabulous band and the fun crowd will certainly make it memorable,” said Linda Hirsch, events chairman. “You will want to be there.”

The Tyrone Smith Revue will be the entertainment for the event. Smith, known best as “Super T,” will perform with his highly energetic 12-piece band. The Super T Revue has performed at numerous special events throughout the Southeast, and even at the wedding of President George Bush’s daughter Jenna. The band performs a range of music, including soul, Motown, funk and classic rock.

“I’m really looking forward to performing. ... It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Smith said.

Dinner will be catered by Dream Events and Catering. Desserts such as Emmeline’s Dream, Lucy’s Lavender Lemon Curd Tartelettes and Marcella’s Maple Whiskey Blondie Bar will be served.

Pennington Distillery has graciously donated Pickers Vodka and its award-winning Tennessee Whiskey. Pennington will offer a signature drink for the evening and master distiller Carter Collins will be holding a whiskey tasting.

A limited number of event tickets are available for purchase online at or in person at Brentwood City Hall, at 5211 Maryland Way. Cash, checks and credit cards are being accepted at City Hall; only credit cards are accepted online through PayPal.

Ravenswood Mansion is at 1825 Wilson Pike. To learn more about the Tyrone Smith Revue, visit
