Fridrich & Clark Realty announced Realtor Lucy Smith has been selected to be the Division 2 vice president for Tennessee Realtors, according to Steve Fridrich, broker and managing partner.
Smith, who was named the Greater Nashville Realtors Realtor of the Year in 2012, will be part of the executive committee for the statewide organization. Tennessee Realtors supports the more than 30,000 Realtors and the profession by providing a full range of member services and benefits, professional-development opportunities, legislative and regulatory advocacy, and timely communications.
In making the announcement, Fridrich talked about Smith’s active role in the firm and in the profession.
“Since becoming a Realtor in 1999, Lucy has been a vital and energetic voice for Realtors and a strong mentor for her colleagues,” Fridrich said. “While she has been honored, and deservedly so, for her real estate success and her achievements, she is most proud of the opportunities she has had to mentor young agents, advance our profession’s message and enhance the professionalism of Realtors across the state. We are proud of her selection by Tennessee Realtors and know that she will continue to make a difference for Realtors and their clients in Tennessee.”
Smith, a licensed agent with the firm since 1999, is based in Fridrich & Clark Realty’s Brentwood office. During her career, she has held leadership positions with both the Greater Nashville Realtors and Tennessee Realtors. She served as president of Greater Nashville Realtors in 2010, holds its Life Member status for Excellence in Sales and has been one of the organization’s members on the Tennessee Realtors Board of Directors for many years.
Smith currently serves as the chair of Tennessee Realtors By-Laws committee, has chaired their Strategic Planning Committee and was a trustee of the organization’s Tennessee Real Estate Education Foundation.
Her volunteer experience includes being the co-chair of the Homeowner Selection Committee for Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity as well as a member of their advisory board, and she currently serves on the advisory board of the Nashville Ballet, an organization she has supported since 1990.
“I am honored to be selected for this position with our statewide organization,” Smith said. “Tennessee Realtors does important work in enhancing our profession, which I can attest to, based on all the ways they have helped me in my career. I look forward to continuing to provide my voice and experience to enhance the impact of this important group.”
