Full Tummies, Warm Hearts food drive serves 3,674 Williamson Countians

United Way of Williamson County Patricia Hart Society’s annual Full Tummies Warm Hearts program concluded last week with 86 volunteer drivers delivering containers of holiday food donations to schools and nonprofit agencies to serve 878 Williamson County families (representing 3,674 individuals).

Included in the donations were nonperishable foods and gift cards for perishable items, plus anything the donor would like to include such as warm socks, games, or other treats and decorations.

Local schools and nonprofits organize the confidential receipt of the baskets for individuals and families.

Approximately 324 sponsors from local companies, schools, and individuals shopped and donated foods for families, who do not have the means to serve or enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Full Tummies Warm Hearts began through the vision of a few members of the Patricia Hart Society women’s group, sitting around a table in conversation about needs in the community.
