Each year, Lee Company partners with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to collect non-perishable food items to help feed its hungry neighbors.

It is not a hidden fact that Lee Company loves to be involved in its community, and it's bringing back a yearly food drive to help the hungry.

For years, Lee Company has been serving more than HVAC units and repairing burst pipes throughout Middle Tennessee neighborhoods. Lee Company sponsors teams, volunteers in local fundraising walks and actively participates in chambers. But there is one unique thing that Lee Company does that you may not be aware of.

Each year, Lee Company partners with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to collect non-perishable food items to help feed its hungry neighbors. The food drive name creatively comes from the vehicles seen on the highway: Vans4Cans.

According to the latest statistics, one in eight Middle Tennesseans, including one in five children, struggle with hunger every day. You might be surprised at how many of them are your neighbors — hard-working people who too often have to choose between paying bills and buying food.

Fortunately, by joining together, we can make a difference. Here are the many ways to participate now through Sept. 30:

• Give canned food and other non-perishables to a Lee Company technician during your next service call

• Drop off food donations at a Lee Company office

• Donate to their Virtual Food Drive, where just $5 provides 20 meals for a family in need. Visit www.leecompany.com/vans4cans to donate today.
