Chris Nielsen’s State Farm agency and his team members collected more than 500 toys from the Spring Hill community as part of the Toys for Tots program.

"We would like to say 'thank you' to the Spring Hill community for donating over 500 toys to the program," Nielson said.

All toys will be distributed locally by the Mule Town Detachment 1286 of the Marine Corps League to kids who may not have otherwise enjoyed gifts for Christmas.

“There has been an overwhelming outpour of generosity and support from our citizens and we are incredibly proud to be part of this community,” Nielsen said. “My team and I feel every child should have a gift for Christmas and Spring Hill really stepped up to the plate to make sure many children will have that opportunity.”

This is the first year Nielsen has hosted a Toys for Tots drive and plans to continue the tradition moving forward.

Nielsen and his team will also be hosting a food drive for “The Well” outreach as well as a shoe drive for “Soles for Souls” in the upcoming months.

“We are about to celebrate our 10th year as a State Farm agency in Spring Hill and really want to make sure we do are part in being a ‘Good Neighbor’ in our community,” Nielsen said. “There are many people that need help, not just during the holidays, but all year long.”

Chris Nielsen State Farm Insurance is located at 5332 Main St. Spring Hill and offers a full line of Insurance Services.
