Williamson, Inc. will partner with Vanderbilt Health for their yearly Women in Business signature event, Women’s Leadership Conference, on Aug. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The conference was originally planned as an in-person, half-day summit but will instead take place virtually. Sarah Fisher Gardial, dean of the Massey College of Business at Belmont University, and Sharon Roberson, president and CEO of YWCA Nashville, are confirmed keynote speakers that will precede the video chatroom discussions between attendees. An additional speaker will be announced in early August.
Gardial, recipient of the Prometheus Leadership Award and known for her innovative leadership, is the first female and current dean of the Massey College of Business at Belmont University. She will lead session one, discussing “Enhancing Women’s Negotiation Skills.”
Roberson, winner of the Academy for Women of Achievement Award and president and CEO of YWCA Nashville, will follow with a discussion on “Next Level Leadership.” The YWCA has served Nashville and Middle Tennessee through their programs designed to help women, girls and families by eliminating racism and empowering women. Roberson joined the 119-year-old organization after working as senior vice president and general counsel and secretary for Direct General Corporation.
Finding that many virtual events lack a networking element, Williamson, Inc. is excited to host one of their largest attended signature events virtually while still providing interaction among attendees. Following the speaker series, attendees will be placed in virtual break out rooms with a Women in Business Committee member to moderate a discussion on topics covered in relation to their own experiences.
Sponsors of the event include AP Live, CREW Nashville, Franklin Synergy Bank and Tractor Supply.
Tickets are $30 for Williamson, Inc. members and $50 for nonmembers and can be purchased at williamsonchamber.com/events.
