Women in Business book discussion

Women in Business will host a book discussion on “Dare to Lead: Brave Work, Tough Conversations, Whole Hearts” by Brené Brown.

Women in Business, an initiative of Williamson Inc., the county’s chamber of commerce, will host a book discussion on “Dare to Lead: Brave Work, Tough Conversations, Whole Hearts,” on Jan. 26.

Members and guests can choose one of three time slots to participate and attend virtually or in person.

Brené Brown, a New York Times best-selling author, has long taught what it means to dare greatly, rise strong and brave the wilderness. Now, based on new research conducted with leaders, change makers and culture shifters, she is showing how to put those ideas into practice and lead.

The book discussion will begin at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in person, 11:30 a.m. virtually. The cost to attend is $15 for members and $25 for guests.

The in-person meetings will be at the Williamson Inc., in McEwen Northside, at 4031 Aspen Grove Drive, Suite 630, in Franklin. The conference room will be limited to 25 guests with social distancing and mask wearing required.

Because of rapidly changing guidelines involving the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person events are subject to change.
