Gwendolyn Faye Ragsdale
Mrs. Gwendolyn Faye Ragsdale, 66, of the Caney Spring community in Marshall County, died Sept. 22, 2006, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth and Phillip Ragsdale of Caney Spring community, and Jeff Ragsdale of Chapel Hill; two sisters, Sarah McMahon of Murfreesboro and Marie Robinson of Chapel Hill; and her brother, Roland C. Paul in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 23, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen McCollum and the Rev. Tony Anderson officiating. Burial was in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Violet Bell Buttrey
Mrs. Violet Bell Buttrey, age 74 died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at NHC of Columbia. 
Mrs. Buttrey was born in Davidson County and was a longtime resident of Williamson County where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cross Keys Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Buttrey; and brother, Andrew Baker.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Lee Whitson of Nolensville, Cameron Eugene Whitson of Murfreesboro; daughters, Rosetta Marie Schroen of Baltimore, Md., Anita Catherine Allen of Columbia, Audrey Sue Warrick of Waverly; sisters, Martha Jane McCullum of Columbia, and Frances Ann Anderson of Franklin; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25, 2006 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with John House officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Cross Keys Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Sunday.  Williamson Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
