Gary Lee Gatten
Gary Lee Gatten, age 60, of Franklin, died Aug. 29, 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Becky Gasawski Gatten of Franklin; daughter, Jennifer Gatten of Germantown; step son, Michael Boyd of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Jack Gatten of Washington, Pa.; and mother-in-law, Betty Gasawski of Belleville, Ill.
Services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2007 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Perry Muse officiating. Entombment followed at Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Willowbrook Hospice, 381 Riverside Drive, Suite 440, Franklin, TN 37064. Visitation was 3 – 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Iris Albea Norman
Iris Albea Norman, 78 beloved wife of William P. Norman of Lincolnton, entered into rest on, Aug. 29, 2007 due to an untimely accident.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Revs. Allen Danner and Paul Reviere officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Norman was born in Lincoln County. She was a lifelong member of Hephzibah Baptist Church, serving faithfully in Children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Historical Committee and the Choir. Also, she was a member of the Lincoln County Historical Society and the Jamestown Foundation, Williamsburg, Va.
Mrs. Norman compiled a book of her grandfather’s writings entitled “Hoosier’s Moods and Tenses.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard Myers Albea and Gladys Hudson Albea; a sister, Lois Albea McGill; and two infant brothers, Herman & Wayne Albea.
Survivors include her husband of 59 3/4 years, William P. Norman; daughters, Wanda (Alex) Cawthon of Thomson, Ga., Gloria (Nelson) Brooks of Lincolnton, Ga., Ellen (Greg) Richard of Franklin; son, William P. “Bill” Norman Jr. of Lincolnton, Ga.; grandchildren, Julie (Rid) Finnegan of Culbert, Ga., Kelly (Jeremy) Field of Athens, Ga., Melanie (Johnny) Mathews of Winterville, Ga., Amie (Dale) Stinson of Spring Hill, Jathan (Stacey) Richard of Murfreesboro, Joshua & James Richard of Franklin, Will & Dillard Norman of Thomson, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Chris Finnegan, Wilkes Field, John Mathews III, Sara Beth Mathews, Madison Mathews, Hunter Mathews, Barbara Ann Mathews, Cade Stinson, Blake Stinson, Grace Richard, Jesse Dee Richard; special sister, Catherine Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the epitome of God’s love and taught her family to love Jesus. She was known to have the spiritual gifts of hospitality and encouragement.  She made the best vegetable soup and cornbread and always had room for one more at the table.
Pallbearers will be Walter C. McGill, Joe McGill, A.C. McGill, Rod Finnegan, Jeremy Field, Johnny Mathews, Mark Hill, and Clarence Norman, Jr.
Members of the Hephzibah Baptist Choir will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church 1750 Hephzibah Church Rd. Lincolnton, Ga 30817.
Friends were invited to visitation at the residence and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave Lincolnton, GA  30817.

Wade Charles Sharp
Wade Charles “Bug” Sharp, age 69, of Trafford, Ala. died Aug. 30, 2007. 
Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his mother, Lavada Russell Sharp. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred C. Sharp of Trafford, Ala.; sons, L.W. (Deborah) Sharp of Franklin, John C. (Gail) Sharp Sr. of Lexington and Charles D. (Sara) Sharp of the Burwood Community; daughters, Grace (Michael) Shannon of Nyota, Ala. and Kayla Sharp of Lewisburg; father, Jesse Wade Sharp of Leipers Fork Community; sisters, Frances Dyer of Eagleville, Thelma Hargrove of Leipers Fork Community, Mary Lois Guiling of Paducah, Ky. and Macy Sanders of the Peytonsville Community; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 
Services were conducted in Alabama.  Visitation was 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Elizabeth O. “Peggy” Waller, age 87 of Franklin, died Aug. 31, 2007. 
She was preceded in death by husband, Allen “Red” Waller.  She is survived by sons, Leon (Erline) Waller and Harry Waller all of Franklin; daughters, Brenda Daubenspeck of Franklin and Nora (Tom) Hood of Lewisburg; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Gary Fewell officiating.  Interment followed at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Visitation was 10 a.m. Saturday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Ethel Hinson Wiley
Ethel Hinson Wiley, age 91, of the Flat Creek Community died Sept. 1, 2007. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren T. & Bessie Lee Hargrove Wiley, husband, Ellis Wiley, and son, Jimmy Wiley.  She is survived by daughter in law, Lorene Wiley of Franklin; grandchildren, Teresa (Eddie) Bell of the Flat Creek Community and Connie (Kenny) Wilson of Franklin; and great grandchildren, Tiffany Bell, and Erin & Kelsey Wilson. 
Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 with the Reverend James Miller officiating.  Interment followed at Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Ash Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   Visitation was 4 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Cathrine C. Harris
Cathrine C. “Cay Cay” Harris, age 49, died Sept. 2, 2007, after a two-year battle with colon cancer.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Robert Harris, and two sons, Brian & Andrew Harris.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Visitation with the family was 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Montomery Bell Academy Mother’s Club and Stephens Ministry at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Jim Frank Tomlin Jr.
Jim Frank Tomlin Jr., age 61, of Dickson, died Sept. 2, 2007.
Mr. Tomlin was preceded in death by his father, Jim Frank Tomlin Sr. He is survived by his mother, Hattie Hood Tomlin; brother, Ben Davis Tomlin; sister, Delois Tomlin Hughes; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Conrad Noddin officiating. Minnie Bell Taylor, age 92, of Columbia died Sept. 3, 2007. 
Miss Taylor is survived by her sisters, Bessie Capley of Franklin, Robbie Capley of Columbia and Anna Marlin of Marietta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Howell King. James Lester “Jim” Sullivan, age 81, of Franklin, died Sept. 4, 2007.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Emily Sullivan, and son-in-law, Wayne Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Judy Johnson Sullivan of Franklin; sons, Michael Sullivan of Nashville and Mark Lofton of Franklin; daughters, Angela Sullivan of Nashville, Angie (Jim) Ford of Franklin, Lisa Kramer of Franklin, Laura (Tim) Wright of Fort Wayne, Ind., Morgan (Dan) Lemosta of Murfreesboro; brothers, Percy (Wilma) Sullivan of Fairview, Phillip (Donna) Sullivan of White House, Albert (Anita) Sullivan of Fairview; sister, Kay (Lester) Hudgins of Fairview; 18 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Phillip Morrison officiating. Entombment will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens, Magnolia Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Residence at Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37232. Visitation will be Thursday 4 -8 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
