Cecil Cannon
Cecil Cannon, age 86 of Fairview, died. He was a plant baker for Colonial Bakery. 
Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Georgia Knight Cannon and daughter, Rebecca Resenover. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Barnes Cannon of Fairview; sons, Cecil (Bobbie) Cannon of Cabet, Ark. and David (Vickie) Cannon of Fairview; daughter, Geneva (Walter) Thomas of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; brothers, Howard Cannon and Walter Kinnard; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Jerald Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels of Fairview. Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Donna Smith
Donna Leigh Sager Smith, age 53, died Dec. 27, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born in Davidson County and made her home in Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by her husband, Grover Smith of Mt. Pleasant; stepson, Jason Smith of Nashville; parents, Glenn & Thelma Sager of Nashville; sisters, Sandra King of Mississippi, Teresa Beazley of Hendersonville and Glenda Gregory of Hendersonville; and beloved dog and longtime companion, Priscilla Smith.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 at St. Ignatius Orthodox Church with Father Gordon Walker and Father Steven Rogers officiating. Burial followed at St. Ignatius Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Visitation was Saturday at St. Ignatius Orthodox Church in Franklin.

Mary Padgett
Mary Lorena Padgett, age 89, died Dec. 29, 2007 at Harpeth Terrace Convalescent Home.
Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her parents, A. P. “Pat” & Dice Dean Holmes and husband, Earl Padgett. She is survived by her sons, Weldon Leon (Deborah) Padgett of Flowery Branch, Ga. and Larry L. (Lenora) Padgett of Franklin; sister, Oma Lee (E. C.) Owen of Ringgold, Ga.; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Ga. with John Tracy officiating. Visitation followed the service at the cemetery.

Rebecca Rivers
Rebecca Cora Simmons Rivers, age 88, died Dec. 29, 2007.
Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her parents, Audie & Lucy White Simmons; husband, Nelson Rivers; and sister, Frances Templeton. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Richardson of Franklin, Patricia Harris of Franklin, Treva “Henry” Green of Nunnelly, Beverly (Joe) Watkins of Franklin, Billie (Billy) Ellis of Nashville, and Wanda Davis of College Grove; brother, Buford (Juanita) Smith of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2007 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Jim Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 444 Metroplex Drive, Suite 102, Nashville, TN 37211.

Billy Wright
Billy “Umpa” Ray Wright, age 72 of Thompson’s Station, died Dec. 30, 2007. He was a member of Thompson’s Station Baptist Church.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, LaVerne Martin Wright; son, Steve (Ginger) Wright; daughter, Patty (Mike) Welch; grandchildren, Martin & Katie Welch, and Marcus & Jacob Wright all of Thompson’s Station.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Herbert Wilburn officiating. Interment followed at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Tuesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Rebecca Roberts
Rebecca Mai Roberts, age 91 of Nashville, died Dec. 31, 2007.
Mr. Roberts was a retired teacher and librarian for Metro Schools, and a member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Jan 2, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with David Claypool officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Sarah W. Bennett, age 86 of Franklin, Jan 1, 2008.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Bennett; brother, W.E. Walton; mother, Mollie G. Walton; and loving companion, James R. Stillman. She is survived by her sister, Nell Tomlin; several nieces and nephews; and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Neil Johnson, age 62 of the Peytonsville Community, died Jan 1, 2008.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Franklin Community of Faith Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bruce Johnson of the Peytonsville Community; son, Brian Johnson of the Peytonsville Community; daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Green of the Bethesda Community; brother, Art Johnson of Spring Hill; sisters, Lucille Rainey of Franklin, Opal Primm of Brentwood, Wilma Heithcock of Franklin, Judy Sweeney of the Burwood Community, Sarah Jean Johnson of Franklin, and Linda Allum of Gulf Shores, Ala.; grandson, Jacob Green; and mother-in-law, Hattie Bruce.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, Jan 4, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Ronnie Johnson, Bobby Bennett and Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Simmons Cemetery.
