Martha Jane Johnson Anderson Sparkman
Martha Jane Johnson Anderson Sparkman, 73 of Franklin, died on Nov. 11, 2009. She was a member of Leiper’s Fork Primitive Baptist Church. She is a former nurse at Dan German and Williamson County Hospital hospitals and Graystone Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by husbands, Arthur Anderson and Cliff Sparkman; parents, Barkley and Mary Lou Johnson; brother, Pete Johnson; sisters, Faye Johnson and Alice Johnson Lynn; grandson, Bryan Anderson. Mrs. Sparkman is survived by son, Kenneth (Donna) Anderson; daughter, Linda (Roy) Fox; grandchildren, Greg Anderson, Dale Fox, Tiffany Henderson and John Thurman; great grandchild, Caleb Anderson; brothers, Clarence (Linda) Johnson and Doug (Pat) Johnson; sisters, Dorris Daniels, Betty Ann (Bill) Hilliard, Edith Wakefield, Nancy (John) Carrington; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sparkman Inman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at 2:30 p.m., at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Brother Clifton Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Daniels, Chris Johnson, Denny Johnson, Keith and John Carrington and Ronnie Sparkman. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Sparkman, Neil and Billy Barnhill, Mike Ford, Charles Hinson, Bobby Russell, J.B. Jones, Tim Akin, Larry Darnell, Calvin Parker and Tony Carrington. Memorials may be made to Leiper’s Fork Primitive Baptist Church or the American Heart Association. Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m.; Friday, 2-8 p.m.; and two hours prior to the service on Saturday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Benjamin Greer ‘Ben’ Lazenby
Benjamin Greer “Ben” Lazenby, 61 of Thompson’s Station, died Nov. 9, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Alexander Lazenby; brothers, Clinton Dyer Lazenby and Charles Aaron Lazenby. Mr. Lazenby is survived by wife of 26 years, Joyce Sargent Lazenby; sons, Jonathan Adam Lazenby and Matthew Greer Lazenby; mother, Daphne Louise Dyer Lazenby; sister, Daphne Alexanderia Lazenby all of Thompson’s Station; like a son, Josh Stinson of the Bethesda Community; several family members and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Ministers Faith Mayton and Tyrone Starnes officiated. Interment was in Leipers Fork Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Noe, Matt Smith, Jack Gillespie, Justin Long, Jonathan Sherman, Kim Harris, Jason Reyes and Chance Martin; honorary pallbearer was Larry High.

Frances Alberta Claiborne Sawyer
Frances Alberta Claiborne Sawyer, 84 of Arrington, died Nov. 4, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Sawyer. Mrs. Sawyer is survived by sons, John William (Cora) Sawyer, Alexandria, and Jack Douglas (Helen) Sawyer, Nashville; daughter, Betty Ann (Bryant) Harrison, Chapel Hill; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Nathan Hale officiated. Interment was in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Lucy Lou Reed Wilson
Lucy Lou Reed Wilson, 83 of Brentwood and formerly of Grayville, Ill. died Nov. 8, 2009 in Brentwood.
She grew up in Owensville, Ind. and was the daughter of the late Jesse C. and Esther O. Eubank Reed. Mrs. Wilson was a member of First United Methodist Church of Grayville for 55 years and was active with the United Methodist Women; a member of the Friendship Quilters Guild and the GCAA; and the former manager of the Best Western Motel in Grayville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Clyde W. Wilson, DDS; sister, Jessie Burke. Mrs. Wilson is survived by son, Stephen (Kristen) Wilson of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Nancy (Don) Garrison of Franklin, and Ann (Ted) Tolen of Mt. Juliet; sister, Sylvia Walker of Champaign, Ill.; grandchildren, Leah and Reed Wilson, David (Erica) Garrison, Andy and Joey Garrison, Abby (Luke) Eitnier, Alli and Katie Tolen.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of Grayville, Ill., Rev. Doug Rorex and Rev. Michael Lafkin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Grayville Library Boosters, Grayville, IL 62844.

Ruby Eveyln Mays Leadmon
Ruby Evelyn Mays Leadmon, 83 of Lewisburg, died Nov. 9, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late William Jennings and Lillian Anderson Mays. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leadmon; children, Johnny, Edna and Barbara; sister, Irene Ledbetter; brother, Alvie Mays. Mrs. Leadmon is survived by her son, Terry Ledbetter; daughters, Lillian Ruff, Marilyn Ledbetter and Ruby Diana Jackson; brothers, Bert and Harold Mays; and 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at 3 p.m.,, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dan Zimmerle officiating. Interment will be Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Rebecca Lynn Mullins, 53 of Franklin, died Nov. 7, 2009.
She was a member of the Millersville Assembly of God Living to Go Church in Goodlettsville.
She was preceded in death by father, William Harold Robinson. Mrs. Mullins is survived by her husband of 33 years, James C. Mullins; children, Sunday Mullins Elam and grandson, Cody Miller Elam, Spring Hill, Joshua James Mullins, Rachel Hailey Mullins; mother, Betty Jean Rhodes Robinson, all of Franklin.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Rev. Paul Baggett officiated. Pallbearers were Joshua James Mullins, William Elam, Roy Grady, Glenn Price, Bobby Langley, Matthew Mullins. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Hilda Doris Tomlin
Hilda Doris Tomlin, 82 of Franklin, died Nov. 8, 2009.
She worked for the Baptist Sunday School Board for a number of years and after her marriage she moved to Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ivie and Redford Hanley; and sisters, Marie Thompson and Thelma Larkins. Mrs. Tomlin is survived by her husband of 41 years, Howard Tomlin; nephews Ernie and Tim Larkins; Niece Becky Vandergrift.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Reed Butin officiated. Internment was at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Earnest Larkin, Tim Larkin, Wayne Vandergrift, Cary Reynolds, Mike Tomlin, David Tomlin, Jimmy Reynolds, Richard Marlin. Honorary pallbearers were Friends of the Peoples Church and Friends of the Triune Baptist Church.

Herman Lee Veach Sr.
Herman Lee Veach Sr., 76 of Columbia, died Nov. 6, 2009 in Columbia.
He is a former employee with the State of Tennessee.
Mr. Veach is survived by a son, Herman Lee Veach of the Bethesda Community; daughters, Cheryl (Jay) Brown of Columbia, Myra Veach of Franklin, Lisa Anderson of Franklin, and Kimberly Veach of Franklin; brother, Logan (Mary Ethel) Veach of the Bethesda Community; grandchildren, Leah and Laura Veach, Connor Allen Lillard, James Daniel Veach, Chuck Whitehurst, Cayla Brown, Jamie and Stephanie Pedigo; great grandchildren, James Daniel, Alexis and Naomie Jay; former wife and friend, Betty Bowman.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at Bennett Cemetery; Bobby Bennett officiated. Stacy Garner, Clint Bagsby, Cale Reed, Logan Lee Veach, Chuck Whitehurst and Daniel Veach will serve as pallbearers.

Jeff Dallas Robinson, 82 of Murfreesboro, formerly of Williamson County died Nov. 5, 2009.
Preceded in death his by son, Danny Lee Robinson, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ann Robinson, Murfreesboro; sons, Bobby Robinson, Hohenwald, Jerry (Karon) Robinson and Billy (Olene) Robinson both of Murfreesboro; daughter, Jean (Dale) McElroy, Murfreesboro; brother, Sam Robinson, Franklin; sister, Annie Lee, Kingston Springs; grandchildren, Jeff McElroy, Melissa Sparks, Becky Potts and Dr. Kerrie Taylor; great grandchildren, Avery, Parker and Sophie Sparks and Cameron Potts.
