FirstBank partners with Salvation Army for holiday

With this year’s challenging economic situation in mind and more families in need, FirstBank associates decided this season to support The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program and forego a holiday party. For every account opened at select branches this season, FirstBank will donate $10 to The Salvation Army to benefit children in need over the holidays.

Locally, FirstBank is located in Cool Springs at 113 Seaboard Lane, Suite A-130,

Franklin, TN 37067.

In addition, FirstBank’s downtown Nashville location will host a corporate Angel Tree. The Angel Tree gives individuals an opportunity to adopt less fortunate children, seniors and disabled adults and provide personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season. The Salvation Army is expecting that more than 14,000 angels will need to be adopted this year. Angels can be adopted at area malls, including Cool Springs Galleria, The Mall at Green Hills, RiverGate and Hickory Hollow.

FirstBank employees have volunteered numerous hours to the Angel Tree program, assisting with applications, sorting and distribution.  The Salvation Army depends upon volunteer power from organizations like FirstBank during the annual Angel Tree and Red Kettle campaigns.  For more information on volunteering, please call Matt Vamvas, director of volunteers at The Salvation Army, at (615) 291-6803 or Jen Eldridge, director of marketing at The Salvation Army, at (615) 242-0411.

FirstBank is Tennessee’s largest independently owned and operated bank, with locations across the state.
