Christmas parades set around town

Dec. 5 appears to be the big day for Christmas parades across Williamson County, with at least three planned for that day.

The Fairview Christmas Parade will begin at 10 a.m. that day at France Manufacturing on Highway 100 and end at Fairview City Park. To register, call 799-9290.

Next up is the Franklin Christmas Parade, set for 2 p.m. through the streets of downtown Franklin. The theme this year is “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” The event is staged by the Cool Springs Kiwanis Club and those wishing to register should do so by Dec. 3 at www.coolspringskiwanis.com.

Kicking off at the same hour will the Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade. Santa will be in the village from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., appear in the 2 p.m. parade, and then be available again from 3-5 p.m. For more information, call 715-1995.

On Sunday, Dec. 6, head to College Grove in southeast Williamson County for that community’s annual parade, set to begin at 2 p.m. The College Grove Lions Club puts this event together.
