Alpha Derryberry Blackburn, 92 of Brentwood, died Dec. 9, 2009.
She is preceded in death by husband, Charles Richard Blackburn, Jr.; sisters, Robbie Wilhoite, Margaret Oakley, Tommie Lovell, Lorene Parrish and Mariellen McRae; brothers, James and Owen Derryberry. Mrs. Blackburn is survived by son, Charles Richard (Glenda) Blackburn III of Brentwood; daughter, Judy Blackburn Alexander of Brentwood; sister, Ann Wright of Columbia; grandchildren, Buddy (Tonya) Alexander, Casey (Sunni) Alexander, Erinn (Wade) Bushman and Amanda (Jason) Mayfield; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at 12:30 p.m., at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ed Slayton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 10, 4-9 p.m. and one hour before the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie and Jimmy Derryberry, Hollis Williams, Buddy and Casey Alexander, Eddie Alsup, Roy and Murray Wilhoite.
Memorials may be made to Millview Church of Christ or to the charity of your choice.

Mary Lou Minton, 76 of Nashville and native of Franklin, died Dec. 7, 2009.
Born in Franklin, TN to the late Steve & Mavis Smith Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her parents Steve and Mavis Smith Anderson. Ms. Minton is survived by sons, Ricky (Cristia)
Minton of Antioch, and Tom Minton of Thailand, Bangkok; brother, J.T. (Mary) Anderson of Red Bay, Ala.; sister, Joyce Waddy of Franklin; grandchildren, Mandy, Cy, Byron, Nathan and Matt Minton.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Church Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Road, Nashville, with Rev. Tom Walker officiating.

Jeane Claire Findley
Jeane Claire Findley, 84 of Franklin and formally of Paducah, Ky. died Dec. 6, 2009 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert John Findley; son, Denny Findley; son in-law, Tony Wilkinson; parents, Robert and Lois Ownbey McCormick. Mrs. Findley is survived by sons, Rick (Robin) Findley of Osgood, Ind. amd Tom (Peggy) Findley of Cocoa, Fla.; daughters, Jayne (Bill) Hunter of Mobile, Ala., Julie (Mark) Boyd of Franklin, Jody (Butch) Findley Dennis of Spokane, Wash. and Jeri Findley of Mayfield, Ky.; brother, Robert (Peggy) McCormick of Stillwater, Okla.; sisters, Betty Brown of Tulsa, Okla. and Ruby Ann Bennett of Dallas, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at 1 p.m., with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Barbara Joy Rapin Tipton
Barbara Joy Rapin Tipton, 62 of Franklin and formerly of Orlando, Fla., died Dec. 7, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alton W. and Margaret L. Cooper Rapin. Mrs. Tipton is survived by her husband of 40 years, Roy Tipton of Franklin; sons, Brad (Charlene) Tipton of Savannah, Ga. and Derek (Marsha) Bates of Kingaroy, Australia; daughters, Julie (Chris) Pleicones of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Amy (James) Suh of Franklin; brothers, William A. (Jan) Rapin of Gaylord, Mich. and Thomas G. (Ann) Rapin of Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Julie Rapin of Madison Heights, Mich. and Elaine M. (Andy) Torvinen of Royal Oak, Mich.; grandchildren, Morgan, Cameron, Brandon and Mason Suh and Dane Bates.
A funeral mass will be conducted Friday, Dec. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m., at St. Philip Catholic Church, Father Balla celebrant.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 11, 4-8 p.m., at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Oliver T. Kittrell Jr.
Oliver T. Kittrell Jr., 88 of Nashville, died Dec. 3, 2009.
Mr. Kittrell was born in Nashville on June 13, 1921.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver T. Kittrell, Sr., and Louise Kittrell Martin. Mr. Kittrell is survived by his wife of 61 years Carolyn Walker Kittrell; his sister-in-law, Mary Walker Dale of Columbia; nephews William H. (Nancy) Dale Jr. of Columbia; James (Anne) Walker Dale of Baltimore, Md.; Andrew McLean (Suzanne) Dale of Winston-Salem, NC; Frank Kittrell (Gloria) Dale of Columbia; James Otey (Susan) Walker III of Franklin; and John Walker of Franklin; nieces Lillias Dale (William) Johnston of Nashville, Jennie Walker Harris, and Roberta Walker Rodgers both of Franklin.
A memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at The Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church at 435 Main St., Franklin, TN; Dr. Sally Hughs officiated. Immediately following the service the family received friends at a luncheon/reception at Richland Place, Nashville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church, to the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Richard Wayne Ellison
Richard Wayne Ellison, Ret. Major, USMC, 71 of Spring Hill, died Dec. 3, 2009.
Among his service awards were the Bronze Star and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. He was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Kathleen Ellison; and brother, Jimmy Ellison. Mr. Ellison is survived by wife, Ginny Ellison; daughter, Amy (Richard) Algood; son, Rick (Melodie) Ellison; and grandchildren, Morgan and Jake Ellison, Amelia and Braxton Algood.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at 11 a.m., at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Dale Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Military will serve as pallbearers at the cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders at Spring Meadows Church of Christ.

Doris Ward VanHoose, 84 of Franklin, died Dec. 5, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto VanHoose; parents, Walter and Effie Ward; brothers, Willard and Walter Ward; sisters, Emma Ward and Louise Phillips; son-in-law, Richard A. Meyers. Mrs. VanHoose is survived by daughter, Brenda V. Meyers of Franklin; brother, Paul Ward of Ashland, Ky.; sister, Frances Esenbock of Franklin; grandchildren, Andrea (Andrew) Stoffregen of Thompson Station, and Amy (Garth) Gobbell of Murfreesboro, NC; great grandchildren, Miranda Stoffregen, Carolyn Gobbell, and Hunter Gobbell; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Pastor Rick White officiated. Pallbearers were: Joshua Esenbock, A.G. Phillips, Reggie Churchwell, Jack Jezwinski, Andrew Stoffregen and Don Tucker. Honorary pallbearer was Garth Gobbell.

Ronelda June Crafton
Ronelda June Crafton, 68 of Cross Keys community of Williamson County, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at Williamson Medical Center.
A native of Williamson Co., Mrs. Crafton was a daughter of the late Milton Lee Crafton and Elbert Estell Sampson Crafton who survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Crafton and a son, David Harper. Mrs. Crafton is survived by three daughters, Melanie (Joey) Glenn of the Bethesda community; Deborah Harper and Teresa Smithson of the Peytonsville community; her mother, Mrs. Milton (Elbert) Crafton of the Cross Keys community; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Sue) Flippen of the Bethesda community; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 4, 2009 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home; Rev. Tom Pierce officiated. Burial followed at the Cross Keys Cemetery in Williamson County.

Sheilah Lancaster
Sheilah Lancaster, 54 of Theta community, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009.
A gathering of family and friends for a celebration of her life was held, Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Heritage Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Lancaster. Ms. Lancaster is survived by her daughter, Shena Lancaster of Theta; mother, Margie Potts Lancaster of Theta; two sisters, Anita (W. E.) King of Theta and Reta (Carl) Hutcherson of the Water Valley community; a brother, Freddie (Charlene) Lancaster of Theta; several nieces and nephews.
