Williamson County donors, sponsors named Hometown Heroes; Awards Presented by the American Red Cross

The Tennessee Valley Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross honored its “Hometown Heroes” with a luncheon and awards ceremony, Thursday, Oct. 28.
Patty Stoney of Little House Animal Hospital in Franklin and George Johnson of the Brentwood Rotary Club received Outstanding Volunteer Awards. The Outstanding Volunteer Award is given to volunteers at our blood drives, donation centers and local Red Cross chapters who make serving the community possible.
Keith Enders of Brentwood received the Outstanding Apheresis Donor Award. This award is given to donors who donate large amounts of platelets and encourage others to give blood. Keith’s donated more than 56 gallons of blood to the Red Cross.
Reliant Bank of Brentwood received the Small Business Partnership Award. The Small Business Partnership Award is giving to small businesses that go above and beyond the call of duty concerning blood drives, partnerships or donations.
Grace Chapel in Franklin received the First Time Sponsor Award. This award recognizes businesses, churches and community organizations across the Tennessee Valley Region that hosted their first Red Cross blood drive or their first blood drive after an absence of three or more years.
The Williamson County Chapter of the American Red Cross received the Chapter Partnership Award. This award is given to Red Cross chapters that provide exceptional support to the blood program.
The Tennessee Valley Region Donor Recruitment Department nominated numerous individuals, businesses and schools in 11 award categories. From those nominations, 24 award winners were selected.
