Fred Harron, obituary
Fred Harron, 86, of Franklin, Tenn., died May 1, 2012.
He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Past National President of the National Exchange Clubs of America and an officer and member of various Exchange Clubs of Tennessee. During his tenure as President of the National Exchange Clubs of America, one of his major accomplishments was reforming the organization, allowing women full membership.
He was preceded in death by parents, Brownlow Lyda and Emma Roberts Harron; wife of 58 years, Lillian Marie Harron. Mr. Harron is survived by son, Scott (Lynne Graybeal) Harron; daughters, Brenda (Jon) Kessell of Franklin, Tenn. and Pat (Jim) Blanton of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Laura (Dan) Hollandsworth, Bethany (John) Lensgraf and Trevor Harron; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Rev. Ryan Bennett and Rev. David Bradley officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be current and former staff and residents of NHC Place of Cool Springs. Visitation will be held Friday, May 4, 2012, 6-8 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
