Wheelhouse Marketing Advisors launches in Brentwood
Wheelhouse Marketing Advisors, led by managing partners Joe Harkins and Carter Toole, has set up shop in Middle Tennessee.
The six-person agency already counts 16 regional and national clients on its roster and has recently leased office space in the Westgate Circle development of Cool Springs.
“We’re off to a fast start and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our clients and vendors,” said Harkins. “We are excited about the opportunity to use our leadership and marketing skills to help companies drive more business.”
The firm's initial clients cross a variety of business sectors, including financial services, healthcare, retail and sports. They include the Arizona Cardinals, CapWealth Advisors, Circle K/On the Run, Cogent HMG, First Farmers & Merchants Bank, KFC, Nashville Sports Council, Parental Health, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Health Management.
Wheelhouse offers branding, strategic planning, media and public relations services as well as website design, development and hosting.
"Our team has an enormous amount of experience and is able to get up to speed on strategy very quickly," Harkins said.
During his career, Harkins has held management positions at Ogilvy & Mather and McCann-Erickson Worldwide, as well as Nashville-based agencies GS&F and J&A. His clients have included Exxon, Bridgestone/Firestone, Tennessee Titans, Kimberly-Clark, FirstBank, Woodmont Investment Counsel, C&S National Bank, NationsBank, Six Flags, Beech Aircraft, PivotHealth and KinderCare Learning Centers. He has also held senior marketing positions with SunTrust Bank and First American Bank in Nashville. He's a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
Most recently, Toole was vice president, digital for J&A, where he oversaw digital marketing programs for Wheelhouse’s client roster and others, including Ebonite International, Houston Texans, Puffy Muffin and the Tennessee Titans. He previously spent nine years in the National Football League, working in digital, publications and media relations for the Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers. Toole is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
