EVENTS CALENDAR: Through Dec. 15 We Build Lives Warehouse Sale
The third annual We Build Lives Christmas warehouse will be held Dec. 4 through 15, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Sundays at the Lasko building, 1725 Columbia Ave. in Franklin.
The fundraiser will benefit We Are Building Lives, an organization that helps homeless veterans put their lives back together.
Christmas and all occasion wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, tags, kitchen gadgets, home décor, ornaments, gift items and candy are available for purchase.

ARC Williamson hosts Next Steps workshop
The Arc Williamson will host a workshop on Next Steps-A Post Secondary Option for Young Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. The workshop will take place Thursday, Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at the Community Services Building at 129 West Fowlkes in Franklin. Staff and alumni from Next Steps at Vanderbilt University will present information on their program as well as information about FAFSA funds for tuition assistance.
Next Steps at Vanderbilt University is a two-year certification program for students with intellectual disabilities, providing individualized Programs of Study in the areas of education, social skills, and vocational training. The workshop is geared for students, parents and teachers who are interested in learning more about possible options for post-secondary education.

High Hopes annual Grandparents & Special Friends Sing-Along
The public is invited to join the children of High Hopes as they lift their voices together to celebrate the season, Thursday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. at their facility on 1647 Mallory Lane in the CheerMoore Gym (opposite end of the building from the High Hopes Preschool).
Light refreshments will be served and a short program begins at 10:15 a.m. performed by the children of High Hopes. This will be followed by an all-school sing-along.
