Samuel Reed, obituary
Samuel P. Reed, 75 of Brentwood, Tenn., died Dec. 26, 2012.
He was born in Williamson County to the late Polkie and Katherine Smith Reed. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, he was a friend to all. Mr. Reed was a member of Berry’s Chapel Church of Christ. He was an avid musician, rabbit hunter, and also enjoyed horse trail riding.
He was preceded in death by son, Samuel Kevin Reed; brothers, Kirby and Eddie Reed. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edna Lampley Reed of Brentwood, Tenn.; daughters, Janelle Reed (Joey) Giles of Fairview, Tenn., Mary Reed (Herb) Schoenfeld of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Sandra Reed (Eddie) Hargrove of Franklin, Tenn.; sister, Annie Reed (Charles) Tomlin; sisters-in-law, Dot Reed and Jean Reed both of Franklin, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 29, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Andy Baker officiating. Burial followed in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Samuel Reed Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are by Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin.
