Tuesday night’s basketball match ups will have to be rescheduled as Williamson County Schools have canceled all after-school activities – including athletics – due incoming weather.
Jason Golden, deputy superintendent, informed principals and assistant principals via email prior to noon on Tuesday according to WCS Athletic Director Jack Daniels.
“Jason has sent out an email after talking with the EMA (and looking at) the National Weather Forecast,” Daniels said. “There’s going to be some frozen precipitation coming in this evening”
Individual schools are responsible for rescheduling their games.
Ravenwood boys basketball coach Patrick Whitlock knows the challenge of rescheduling district games, but also sees the importance of being cautious.
“It is always tough to reschedule district games and it isn’t ideal,” said Whitlock, also athletic director at RHS. “With that being said, we don’t want anyone in our community to be put in harms way.”
Battle Ground Academy and Brentwood Academy have also postponed their games. BGA will reschedule with Pope John Paul II and BA with Aaron Academy.
