Lady Eagles get historic win

The Independence Lady Eagles made history on the basketball court Friday night, defeating Brentwood 34-30 for their first win over the Lady Bruins in school history.
Tied 30-30 in the fourth quarter, Hannah Winters hit four free throws down the stretch to seal the win for Indy.
Trailing 30-20 midway through the third, Brentwood went on a 10-0 run over a near-nine minute stretch.
Independence (14-7, 4-1) was the aggressor for the entirety of the game, only trailing for a 35-second span in the second quarter.
Laina Buche led the Lady Eagles with 15 points and three 3-pointers.
Brentwood (11-11, 4-2) was led by Paige Parker with 11 points.
